Full Description
Stiffer than the Bridge and 3 or 4 mils wider overall, the Mantra retains its crown as Volkl's Number 1 big mountain ski and continues to set the standards.
The stiiffness comes at least in part from the titanium layer which increases torsional rigidity giving great stability at higher speeds - sometimes missing in skis this wide.
Tip rocker helps the ski float in soft snow and sail over variable terrain while the traditional camber in the underfoot section gives grip and control as well as some element of hard snow performance - though this is not a ski for piste use by any means.
Vertical sidewalls help with edge control and grip in harder conditions too, and the Sensorwood core dampens the ride and gets rid of vibrations from uneven terrain.

Ski Servicing
Watch out for shops that cut corners – and costs – by hardly ever servicing their skis, or just giving them a quick wax. Unserviced or badly serviced skis can ruin your whole week. Why pay for substandard kit?
