Scott
CRUSADE
ALL MOUNTAIN SKI
Overview
Strange to look at, but a proven performer in Scott’s range for several years now, the Crusade is a strong competitor in the versatile “around 90 underfoot” market. As you’d expect, it’s an excellent soft snow option, but you might be surprised by just how good it is in hard snow as well.
Great for :
A versatile high speed charger
Not so great for :
Unsurprisingly, not the fastest ski edge to edge
Target ability level :
Full Description
A great versatile, go pretty much anywhere ski for advanced or expert skiers, the Crusade at 90 mils underfoot has a distinct preference for deeper or softer conditions but is still perfectly respectable on groomed piste as well.
Venturi Tip Rocker hollows out the tip and reduces vibrations for stronger ski-snow contact and a smoother ride while the Venturi Tip and Tail accounts for the weird shape of this skis and reduces the build up of snow during the initiation and completion of the turns.
Whatever the theory, in practice the Crusade makes turn initiation easy and smooth and the ski floats beautifully in soft snow. It’s also lovely and stable at higher speeds and the stiffness means it charges through chopped up crud and variable snow as if it wasn’t there.
Not for lazy skiers though, and maybe not the best option for you if you’re light either.

Ski Servicing
Watch out for shops that cut corners – and costs – by hardly ever servicing their skis, or just giving them a quick wax. Unserviced or badly serviced skis can ruin your whole week. Why pay for substandard kit?
