Full Description
While the more advanced RS 800’s from Salomon are all-mountain skis, albeit with a distinct hard snow preference, the LX 800 is an intermediate model and aimed really at use on groomed snow and piste conditions though with its Enduro pedigree it’s more versatile than most intermediate skis in slightly softer snow.
A composite core and Monocoque construction make this a light and easily maneuverable ski while a single layer of Titanal gives great edge grip and efficient energy transfer without over stiffening the ski.
The All-Terrain rocker in the tip only gives easy and progressive turn initiation and stops the tip catching and at the same time helps with flotation in softer snow and makes it easier for an intermediate skier who hasn’t got to grips with carving yet to pivot the ski.
The tail is slightly, but only slightly, rounded in both directions. This helps encourage you to develop your carving skills and hold onto the edge in the latter part of the turn but at the same time will allow you to release into a skid if you start to feel out of control.

TOP TIP
Ski Servicing
Watch out for shops that cut corners – and costs – by hardly ever servicing their skis, or just giving them a quick wax. Unserviced or badly serviced skis can ruin your whole week. Why pay for substandard kit?
