Full Description
One of Rossi’s main selling points for their new Unique series of ladies’ piste skis is their ultra-light weight, and the Unique 8 is certainly that – Air Core construction uses Paulownia wood instead of poplar, then hollows out the centre of the core as well.
The underfoot area is traditional sandwich construction while tip and tail use a micro cap. This gives plenty of power and strong information transmission where it’s needed but keeps the weight down and the swing weight balanced
Power Turn Rocker affects % of the ski’s length, at the tip only – enough to make it easy to control and provide flotation in softer snow – while the remainder of the ski uses a traditional camber for maximum effective edge, strong grip and control. This makes for surprising stability at speed considering how light the ski is.
The Unique 8’s tail is very square and flat so will hold on to the edge right to the end of the turn, and it’s quite stiff as well for a good kick out of one turn and into the next.

Ski Servicing
Watch out for shops that cut corners – and costs – by hardly ever servicing their skis, or just giving them a quick wax. Unserviced or badly serviced skis can ruin your whole week. Why pay for substandard kit?
