JAM
ALL MOUNTAIN SKI
Overview
The Jam really is an “all mountain” ski, just as happy on piste and in powder, super-stable at high speeds yet light enough and wide enough to float above the soft stuff too.
Great for :
Very versatile, performs well in most conditions
Not so great for :
Not the best option for pounding hard pistes all day, but that’s not what it’s meant for.

Full Description
Without doubt one of the best all-mountain skis out there, the Jam responds well everywhere and makes a pretty good effort at any turn style, though with a 16 metre sidecut radius it does prefer longer turns. Great in bumps too!
Dynamic triaxial and uni-directional fibreglass layers above and below the lightweight wood core give a very responsive and springy ski, and for a ski that’s 85 mils underfoot it’s surprisingly quick edge to edge.
The soft, extended tip bends easily and floats well above soft snow while the stiffer tail gives great grip and helps drive through the end of the turn in harder conditions. At the same time the slight pintail shape helps push the tail down (and tip up) in soft snow.
As all mountain skis go, the Jam certainly involves a lot less compromise than most others – as much of a “one quiver ski” as you’ll get.

Ski Servicing
Watch out for shops that cut corners – and costs – by hardly ever servicing their skis, or just giving them a quick wax. Unserviced or badly serviced skis can ruin your whole week. Why pay for substandard kit?
